I Need You in My life (based on a poem by Jenna Kennard-Davis) I need you in my life To wash away my pain In your word, in your will I want to remain I need you in my life When nothing seems quite right You’re there to hold me up In battle you’re my might I need you in my life When the enemy comes to destroy You’re the only one Who can restore to me my joy Yes, I know that you are there That you love me, that you care And I know, I’ll be ok ‘Cause you are in control You are in control You are in control You are in control I need you in my life When I’ve forgotten how to pray Your Spirit leads my way You teach me what to say I need you in my life Through each and every season No matter how things change You are still my reason I need you in my life Teach me to be like you So I can shine your light To those who do not know you You’re forgiving, you’re gracious, oh God Slow to anger, abounding in love So when trouble comes pushing its way I surrender all.

The voice of the Lord is a roaring thunder The voice of the Lord calms the sea The voice of the Lord breaks the cycle of bondage The voice of the Lord sets me free The voice of the Lord is my guide in confusion The peace in my heart when I sleep The voice of the Lord heals the broken-hearted The voice of the Lord lives in me And nothing can stand against me When He is by my side He is Lord of all, the Lord of my life.

This Is Love 03:23
Let me tell you 'bout a Love That's so good, that's so kind That came for us Let me tell you 'bout a Love That's so real and so free in every way Let me tell you 'bout a Love That gave its life so selflessly Let me tell you 'bout a Love A Love that's true This is Love, this is Love That came for all humankind This is Love, this is Love That was slain at Calvary This is Love, this is Love That was nailed onto a tree This is Love, this is Love That came to set us free Let me tell you 'bout a Love That paid the price for all our deeds Let me tell you 'bout a Love That does not even judge Let me tell you 'bout a Love So unconditional It’s furious and pure Let me tell you 'bout a Love A Love that's true Now I'm free This is Love, this is Love Oh –.

All you gotta do Is kneel down by my feet All you gotta do Is hear me as I speak All you gotta do Is seek me first For who I am For who I am Consult with me Consider me Hear my voice Be still Knowing I will see you through Knowing I’ll be there for you Knowing I will see you through Knowing I’ll be there for you Seek me first, first Not last, last Seek me now, now Not then, then Offer your heart to me Your heart to me Yourself whole-heartedly.
5.
(based on a poem by Jenna Kennard-Davis) I want a child-like faith My heart to beat with yours I want my feet to run Innocently through life Teach me to serve you From a heart of love not guilt I want to soar above The restrictions of this world Daddy, I’m here Ready and waiting Come take my hand Draw me close to you Lead me homewards Lead me into a place Where dreams come true Where the impossible Is made possible through you Here in this quiet place You chase away my fears And your amazing love Moves me to holy tears.

Eternity 07:10
This is a new way This is a new start This is how it’s gonna be From this day on ‘Till eternity For you are my Lord You are my God And I am your daughter You are my God I am your child And you are my Saviour For eternity And this is what it’s gonna be like What it’s gonna feel like What it’s gonna sound like In eternity I’ll spend eternity, eternity, eternity with you.
7.
Spirit of God, we welcome you in here For you are holy, holy, holy You are holy, holy, holy You are holy, holy, holy And your glory fills all the earth May our hearts long for you And our lives be pleasing to you You’re majestic and wonderful Majestic and wonderful You say You haven’t given us the Spirit of fear You say You’ve given power, love, and a sound mind.

Another Day 06:26
Another day without you Another night in an empty bed Another moment of silence As I enter an empty flat Another memory that strikes me Same as every day Another piece of clothing I struggle to give away Pushed to the ground By the weight I have to bear Millions of questions To which answers are rare There’s so many things I still wanted to say And so many things I still wanted to do So many chances I missed To show you That I care Another day without your laugh Another lonely birthday has passed All our pictures are still in their place Silently hanging there, reminding me of your face I’m reminded of your voice Whispering tenderly ‘I love you’ I’m reminded of your faith And the words you said, should comfort me That there’s a God out there who cares Who knows my (our) grief, who preserves all my (our) tears There is hope in death, there is ultimate healing There is perfect peace, there’s a lasting reunion.

about

This very new production entails a variety of styles, instruments, and voices. Supported by a full band of fantastic musicians, I present 9 brand new songs, including a bonus track by Rose Majoe called "This is love". The overall theme of this CD is "God, the Father" as well as finding a home in Him.

released November 28, 2012

This CD is dedicated to my brothers Jonathan, Christopher, and David. May each one of you be touched by at least one of these songs.

Many thanks to the singers (L. S. / Tiisetso Majoe / Linda Matolengwe) & the band (Mesuli Tshele (acoustic)/ Elias Kuili (base)/ Moses Thamsanqa (drums)/ Linda M. (percussion)/ Tiisetso M. (piano - 3)), for offering your time and talents to make this project a success. Another special thanks to Jenna Kennard-David, for allowing me to melodise two of your poems, and of course, to Maleho Makgothi, for the many hours you spent recording and mixing our songs!
